Study of the magnetic, optical and thermodynamic properties of physical systems of condensed matter using theoretical and experimental procedures, such as: fundamental theory, modeling, numerical simulation, film growth, sample preparation, magnetic, optical and transport measurements.

Astrophysics and Cosmology

Study of rotation in different stages of the evolution of stars, evolution of angular momentum, correlations between rotation and observational parameters, relationship between rotation and nucleosynthesis, dilution and mixing processes in single stars and multiple systems. Studies of the evolutionary process of the universe, development of theoretical models, tests of statistical models and techniques, numerical and observational analysis to improve knowledge about the origin, dynamics and destiny of the cosmos.
